The following roles are all temporary positions associated with the Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament.

Accreditation/Registration Manager

Managing accreditation of the Invitation Tournament players, this role is integral to the smooth running of the event. The post holder must be an individual who is used to working to deadlines, working under pressure and has an outgoing personality. Attention to detail is key to the success of this role as is working in a methodical fashion. The successful candidate will be used to multi-tasking, working with external organisations and quick thinking. Managing the Registration Tent throughout the tournament and overseeing the volunteer staff associated with Registration is also a vital part of this role and one that works hand-in-hand with Accreditation. The post holder works closely with the Invitation Tournament Manager prior to, during and after the event ensuring that information flows freely and appropriately at all times.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase as the tournament approaches and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Sunday 23rd September – Thursday 12th December 2019

Contract Duration: 11 weeks

Accreditation/Registration Assistant

Assisting the Accreditation/Registration Manager with processing the Invitation Tournament players’ accreditation, this supporting role is integral to ensuring all participants are eligible to play and receive the correct accreditation prior to the start of the tournament. Working methodically and to deadlines is essential to the success of this post. Being able to work under pressure is also important. The post holder will also assist with operating the Registration Tent and managing the volunteers during the tournament weekend. Providing administrative support and assisting with other tournament related duties will also be required. An individual with a flexible approach to duties and working hours would be well suited to this position. Having an interest in rugby or a background in sport would also be a benefit.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase as the tournament approaches and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Monday 4th November – Sunday 8th December 2019

Contract Duration: 5 weeks

Logistics Assistant

This role provides support, assists and supplements the duties being carried out by the Logistics Manager. Together the Logistics Manager and Logistics Assistant will manage the flights, accommodation and transportation arrangements for World Rugby Sevens Series teams, the tournament Referees and official event staff, this role is vital to the fluidity of the tournament. The post holder will also provide administrative support by updating spreadsheets and ensuring data is filed appropriately. Processing visa applications will also be an important task completed by the role holder. A clear thinking logical individual who pays attention to detail is essential in this role. The post holder should be prepared to work long hours and be flexible when approaching duties. Being resident at the team hotel in the immediate built up to and during the tournament will be required. Working to deadlines is vital to the role and the successful candidate will be someone who works well under pressure.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase in the build up to and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Sunday 29th September – Thursday 17th December 2019

Contract Duration: 12 weeks

Office Administrator

Assisting with Tournament related administrative support the post-holder will be a vital addition to the team. The individual needs to have a flexible attitude to work and will undertake a wide variety of duties. Being computer literate is essential as is being organized and able to manage workload appropriately. Previous event experience would be beneficial but is not essential.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: 42 hours per week. This will increase in the build up to and during the tournament weekend.

Commencement: Sunday 27th October Thursday 12th December 2019

Contract Duration: 7 weeks

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 25th September 2019


Hotel Office Assistant (x2)

These roles provide support and assistance in the Hotel Office at the team hotels. There will be occasions when one will be required to work alone in the office and handle enquiries professionally and diligently. An individual used to working with professional athletes or in a demanding position would be suited to this role. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential as is ensuring problems are solved swiftly and with minimal fuss. Post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and provide own transport.

Hours of work: to be confirmed and will include split shifts.

Commencement: Thursday 28th November – Sunday 8th December 2019

Contract Duration: 11 days

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 30th October 2019


Site Cleaning Manager

This role is vital to the upkeep of cleanliness throughout the Stadium in the lead-up, throughout and after the tournament. The post-holder will manage the on-site contract cleaners for the duration of the supplier’s contract. A strong leader, not afraid of working long an unsociable hours in order to get the job done, is required. Being keen, enthusiastic and driven are essential qualities for this position as is the ability to work alone in challenging situations. Patience is vital as is the ability to make decisions quickly and accurately whilst under pressure. Good man-management skills are a must along with the sensitivity and diplomacy required to manage a multi-cultural team.

As the Stadium is 40km from Dubai the post-holder must hold a valid driver’s license and will be required to provide their own transport.

Hours of work: Will be 12 hour days on a shift basis for 6 days per week (i.e. one day off per week). This will increase to 16 hours per day on Tournament days.

Commencement: Sunday 17th November – Sunday 15th December 2019

Contract Duration: 4 weeks

Closing date for applications: Wednesday 30th October 2019
